Nazi Baby Ring (Item NSD 13-1; SS 27-15)

DESCRIPTION: Here is the smallest NS ring ever! They were manufactured for the children of loyal party members and SS personnel. The ring was often presented to parents of a newborn at Christian baptism or the special rites of the same, but performed by the SS officials in solemn ceremonies. The ring is not something like the size of an SS Victory ring or as impressive as a Hitler Youth leader’s ring, but it has its own charm, notwithstanding. It features an enameled swastika cradled in flowers as would be expected in an infant’s ring. It has some markings inside that look to be a logo and the ‘800’ silver designation. This is a very pretty petite piece of Third Reich jewelry that probably would not even start to go on your pinky. The size is near to a 5. This is rare and original.

PRICE: $450.00

National Socialist Veterans’ Standard (Item NSD 13-3 & VETS 1-18 & FLAG 1-13)

DESCRIPTION: This is the greatest veterans’ standard that we have ever laid eyes on and we have seen many hundreds of them. This one is colorful, dramatic, in wonderful condition, and very ‘NS.’ We have also never seen a vets’ standard with eagle and swastika; can’t say enough about this piece. The embroidery, the golden fringe, the wonderful design, the heading at the top reads: “Kameradschaft ehem. 65 er des Saargebietes.” In the middle is the gorgeous eagle with the mobile swastika behind. The eagle perches on a bayonet from which hangs an Iron Cross and portepee in the national colors. Below this the legend: “Sitz. Illingen. In the four corners are oak-leaf clusters. On the other side there is a picture of a cathedral. The design is similar to the actual regimental standards used by the active regiments in the German Imperial Army. The Prussian crown surmounts the central cathedral design. Projecting out from the central motif are four areas containing crowned battle honors surrounded by wreaths that contain the four battles in which this regiment distinguished itself: Marne, Somme, Cambrai, Champagne; all hard-fought battles that this unit bravely participated in. This standard with these names was considered sacrosanct and was only paraded on Veterans Day. Also seen are three flaming grenades that usually denote grenadiers. The embroidery in the cathedral and the eagle is astounding. The good brocade is fantastic. The fine gold brocade fringe on three sides is in perfect condition with none missing. The flag measures 42 inches square and the fourth side has all the brass rings for attachments to the flagpole. This is the ultimate veterans’ standard of all time. None better!

Book Niedersachsen marschieren, They March (Item NSD 13-4)

DESCRIPTION: This is a really great little soft-cover book entitled Niedersachsen marschieren. This area was known from time immemorial as the Deutschen Heiligesland, The German Holy Land, the land of Widekind, the place where Charlemagne murdered 4,500 Saxon leaders, the land of Heinrich the Lion, the land that Alfred Rosenberg called the birthplace of the First Reich. This area was also the most loyal to Adolf Hitler and the NSDAP. This great pictorial book was made to commemorate Niedersachsen Day and was issued and approved by Gauleiter Rust. It has 79 pages crammed full of ceremonies, party functionaries, Hitler Youth bands, and marching formations, political leaders, SA troops, Labor Corps, etc.; all in festive presentation mode. This is a great little book for the serious student of NS history.

Wehrmacht and NS Party China Dinnerware (Item NSD 13-5; WEHR 23-5)

DESCRIPTION: The items below are a group of ceramic dinnerware from the war years. It is quite common in Europe, but we have had people contact us by phone and email thinking that they might have an absolute treasure, but not realizing that these pieces were produced and distributed in the many, many millions. They are certainly collectables today, but do not command a lot of money by any means. They are all original pieces and many of them were produced by the best of German porcelain companies such as Meissen, Rosenthal, K.P.M.-Hutschenreuther, Bauscher, Weiden, etc. The ones that we have are all in very good condition (perfect, unless otherwise noted). They all bear the imprint under the glaze of the National Socialist eagle, or, in some cases, the cogged wheel of the Labor Front. The prices vary by whom made them because there are collectors of the famous-name pieces, but we have kept them all as reasonable as possible unlike a few sites where they ask extremely high prices considering that what they have is “genuineNazi. At Germania we try to keep things reasonable and affordable.

Wehrmacht and NS Party China Dinnerware (NSD 13-5-j; WEHR 23-5-j)

DESCRIPTION: This is a huge central salad or pasta bowl. It could be for stew, also. This one is a treasure made by none other than KPM, Königliche Porzellan Manufaktur Berlin. This was absolutely the most prestigious of all the manufacturers of porcelain in the world. This was the porcelain of the kings and emperors of Germany. This porcelain manufactory gets its name when it was taken over by the famous Prussian King Frederick the Great, in 1763. At that time the scepter mark was introduced. This great center table bowl was produced for the Kriegsmarine, or German Navy. It has the eagle used only by the navy over the ‘M,’ the letter denoting Marine, the German word for navy. Under this is the crown over the ‘KPM’ letters and the date 1941, the second year of the Second World War. This is huge dish measuring 12 inches in diameter. This is in absolutely perfect shape throughout.

Wehrmacht and NS Party China Dinnerware (NSD 13-5-L; WEHR 23-5-L)

DESCRIPTION: This is a huge porcelain Eintopfessen tureen by KPM. For the story on KPM look at No. 10 for a brief explanation. This is an extreme rarity and a really great addition to any Kriegsmarine collection, or for any good collection of WWII relics. The item is not in the common variety. It’s in practically mint condition and as we stated--huge. It is in the classic style as used by the Deutschen Wehrmacht in its mess halls. It would be great for a Gulaschsuppe or a Hirsch stew, but because it’s for the Kriegsmarine, it probably will be “navy-bean soup.” The bowl is about 7 inches high, not counting the handles, and about 10 inches wide with an opening of about 9 inches. Being from ‘KPM,’ it has the wonderful, almost Allach, sheen. This is truly beautiful center piece for sure.

Book Von deutscher Art und deutscher Tat, Das Buch der Hitlerjugend (Item NSD 13-6; YOUTH 6-10)

DESCRIPTION: Here is a 168-page book that is chock full of great stuff. Its title is From the German Way and German Deeds, The Book of the Hitler Youth. This is a little ‘gem’ of a book for the student of the Kampfzeit (the power struggle). Most of the pictures are illustrations by Albert Reich, a well-known artist of posters and books in the Third Reich. The book was printed in the good year of 1935, by the Central Publishing Office of the NSDAP Franz Eher Verlag in Munich. The book is replete with the saga of Germany’s history from the victory in the Teutoburgerwald to the rise of the NSDAP and Hitler’s ascension to power. There are only four color illustrations, but they’re great ones, especially the one with the SA brown shirts marching in the spirit of Frederick the Great. This is indeed a rare publication. It’s 72 years old and still in great shape. It measures 8 x 10 inches and the former owner covered it in plastic years ago. You couldn’t find many more meaningful HJ volumes today. This is a German treasure!

Book Berlin, Rom, Tokio (Item NSD 13-7; AXIS 4-22)

DESCRIPTION: This is a slick, large, soft-cover book (actually, a magazine) that was monthly (but try to find one). It went to a very selective readership: those who were associated with the diplomatic corps or those who supported the mission of the tri-nation pact among Germany, Italy, and Japan. It was a first-class publication filled with many pictures dealing with the alliance that proved fatal (unfortunately) for Germany. There were also great advertisements for German state-of-the-art products that might be able to be marketed to Italian and Japanese firms that also received these fine publications. This is a large-format magazine and an important archival item. This particular issue deals to a great part with India to include some important issues with the leader of the anti-British movement in India led by the charismatic Indian leader of the Bengal Volunteers. The NSDAP used the Indians through Chandra Bose to keep the Brits busy trying to quell rebellion, while Germany attempted to fight the reds in the east.

NSDAP Headquarters Sign “Hier spricht die NSDAP (Item NSD 13-8)

DESCRIPTION: This is a headquarters enameled sign as was used by local official NSDAP buildings—extremely rare in this condition. Some of these have shown up from time to time, but rarely because this was not very easy for the GI looters to manage to get home. It sure wouldn’t fit in a duffel bag! It measures 32 x 25 1/2 inches. What makes it so rare is its condition. Every one that we have seen over the years has been significantly chipped, gouged, shot at, and generally in “terrible” condition overall. This one is the best we have ever seen by far. There are a couple of small chips, but they are not in any of the lettering or the eagle. They are slight and in the black and you don’t even notice them unless you look very closely. One is just above the eagle’s head. The SS cap has been placed for viewer perspective and is one for sale with the sign. The sign translates to:
(First line) “Here Speaks the NSDAP (Nazi Party). (Under this the party is spelled out) “National Socialist German Workers’ Party.” (Third line) People of the Volk come here for advice and help from each of these NSDAP (offices?) (Fourth line) Following this are various departments of the NSDAP such as SA, SS, NSKK, HJ, etc. There are framed blank spaces for the various departments to chalk in when their offices will be open. The word “Mitteilungen” seen about halfway up the sign refers to reports. In these space some German has written “Achtung! No trains running east.” Underneath is a reminder of the führer’s birthday in 2 weeks. These notes may have been placed there in the last days of the war or were put there recently by a German-speaking person to embellish the sign? In any case, if one were to wish to remove it, it will erase with paint thinner very easily. This is as we have indicated: incredibly rare because of its great condition. It won’t last long. We can assure you to act quickly if you would like the ultimate centerpiece of an NSDAP collection.

Bernstein (amber) Pin (Item NSD 13-9; PINS 5-17)

DESCRIPTION: This is a very special stickpin for the DAF (Deutsche Arbeits Front) in the city of Angerburg in 1937. It has the swastika on one side and column and the DAF symbol on the other with some sort of tower pictured in the middle. Across the top is ‘NSDAP’ (the party). The main important feature is that it is mounted on Bernstein, otherwise known as Prussian amber. This is the Heilege Stein or holy stone of Teutonic legend and saga. The German eagle is mounted at the top of the presentation. This is very rare and a beautiful NS article.

Norddeutsche Lloyd Ship, Bremen (Item NSD 13-10; KRIEG 6-16)

DESCRIPTION: Here is a magnificent, framed print of the beautiful ocean liner Bremen steaming into New York harbor in the 1930s. Note that she flies the German national flag, the swastika on her after mast. This same flag was vandalized later by a bunch of motley communist thugs. Its original frame measures 27 x 40 inches. The frame is 2 inches wide; the artist’s signature looks to be “W.J. Alward.” There is a Fire Island tugboat seen in the foreground. This is a really great picture of one of the greatest queens of the sea. This would be a super addition to any collection of WWI-era maritime items.

Fensterglasbilder (Item NSD 13-12)

DESCRIPTION: Here is one of the rarest and beautiful NSDAP Fensterglasbilder pieces we have seen; also called “Durchscheinbilder” (“see-through picture”) What this means is that it’s a hand-painted, leaded-glass panel that hangs in a window and when the light shines through (“durch”) the illustration beams brightly like an illuminated image. They were more prevalent in the imperial period and if you want to see some terrific Kaiser Reich examples go to our page on Heraldic Window Hangings and feast your eyes on a collection that rivals any in any museum in Europe. This particular one dates in the late 1920s and is a perception of the National Socialist eagle in its early Kampfzeit form. It is magnificently hand painted with leaded glass with 3 1/2-inch red glass inserts all around it. The eagle is a reverse glass painting done by a master illustrator. It measures about 10 inches in diameter with window hanger attached. This is a very rare NS party item of great historical interest. It probably hung in the window of a home where the inhabitants were all staunch NS supporters or even SA or SS members. This is a patriotic showing if ever there was one.

Book Der Stadt der Reichsparteitag Nürmberg (Item NSD 13-18; GEN 11-13; RAREBOOK 1-13)

DESCRIPTION: The City of the Reich’s Party Rallies, Nuremberg is a beautiful special reprinting of the books presented to Adolf Hitler and Reichsführer-SS Heinrich Himmler by the Oberburgermeister (lord mayor) on behalf of the people in Nuremberg. This is a special edition of this book that was published for the people of Germany to show them the historically great personages who through the ages this city would call its “Special Sons.” To see more about the book you can go to Item HH 1-5 and read about the one presented to Heinrich Himmler in its original carved cassette. Other than the fact that the Himmler version has a pure-white vellum cover and the presentation page, this one we offer here is exactly the same. This was one of the most beautiful volumes ever produced in the Third Reich. The facsimile parchment, calligraphy, and pictures are incredible. The measurements are the same also. The condition is immaculate with the original protective cover still intact.
