Cased Blue Max |
||
DESCRIPTION:Here is a very nice copy of the famed Blue Max, or Pour Le Mérite enameled on both sides and in a form-fitted, velvet-lined case with the outline of the medal on the top of the case. The case is in fine leatherette; just the thing to wear when you attend the commemoration of the victories of the Red Baron ceremony at the Neue Palis in Berlin. The ribbon lies in a separate, divided section of the case.

The following medals are just one of a kind. They are not made any longer; at least not in near this wonderful quality. These pieces were made by jewelers in Austria back in the mid 1960s. The quality is superb! We can’t say enough about it. I have been told that they were made by the same manufacturer which made them during the Third Reich. I can believe it! I emphasize that I only have one of each of these. When gone I’m sure they are gone for good. You will not find them elsewhere. |

The Grand Cross of the Order of the German Eagle in Gold; without Swords (for civilians), with Sash and Breast Star |
||||||||||
DESCRIPTION: This, the grandest of all Third Reich awards, was instituted by Adolf Hitler on his birthday, May 1, 1937. The first recipient was Italian foreign minister Count Galeazzo Ciano. This was reserved for very important honored foreign supporters and allies of the NS regime. Only eight were ever presented. The other recipients are Franco of Spain, Admiral Horthy of Hungary, King Boris of Bulgaria, President Risto Ryti of Finland, Romanian Marshal Ion Antonescu, Japanese Ambassador Hiroshi Oshima, and Fieldmarshal Freiherr Carl Gustaf Mannerheim of Finland. I have promised to offer only the finest in re-created items of historical interest and in keeping with that promise I am proud to offer this strikingly beautiful garniture.
