STORMTROOP CHAMPAGNE GLASS (Item KGLASS 1-2)
|
DESCRIPTION: Sturmtrupp was the name given to special elite soldiers of the Great War, who were to the front when the
going was particularly rough. The later Freikorps, or Free Corps, took the skull of the Sturmtrupp as their
logo and symbol as did the subsequent SA factions under the Nazi regime. The etched glass bears the
badge of these troopers-the leering skull with crossed hand grenades tied with a bow and the Sturmtrupp
name. At the base there are four etched leaf patterns. It stands about 8 inches tall. The mouth opening is
3 inches and the base is 2 ¾ inches in width. This glass is very nice and in almost mint condition. It was
probably produced in the 1930s as a commemorative set for a former veteran.
PRICE: $450.00

Bust of Field Marshal Hindenburg (Item KGLASS 1-3)

This victory enshrined von Hindenburg in the hearts of the German people and in August 1916 he was appointed commander in chief of all the German armies. He was elected president of the German Republic on April 26, 1925 and in 1933 stepped down in favor of A.H., who was elected chancellor in 1933. Hindenburg died on August 2, 1934. He certainly was the grand old warrior of the 21st Century. The bust is in perfect condition and is signed "Romanus Andresen." It's very impressive and lifelike.
