Songbook Deutsche Ostland Lieder (German Songs of the East) (Item PARTYSONGBOOK 1-2)

DESCRIPTION: Here is a 650-page softcover book of favored songs of the Prussian and Silesian area from olden times up to the era of the Third Reich. These are songs of supreme patriotism from a people who were eventually put into horrid slavery and lost their homes and millions their lives because of the ironic partnership of the western democracies, which chose to align themselves with the murderous Josef Stalin and his monstrous system and its Mongol hordes that made up 50 percent of the Russian Army. The book is in large format: 12 x 9 inches. It is a memorial document to the brave Teutonic folk, who received the ravages of the devil incarnate. They were the most fiercely and patriotically motivated of all Germany’s sections for they loved their proud Ostenland, the land of the Hohenzollern Kaisers, Frederick the Great, Chancellor Bismarck, and the greatest generals and marshals that the world has ever seen. It was Prussian Generalfeldmarschall (field marshal) Gebhard Leberecht von Blücher and his Black Hussar children who won the day at Waterloo when Wellington was practically defeated by Napoleon. “Germany virtually was and is Prussia; and under Hitler, Prussia was truly Germany.”

Beautiful Little Freikorps Song Booklet Entitled Ich hab mich ergeben mit Herz und mit Hand (I have sacrificed with Heart and Hand!; Subtitle: Oberlandliederbuch (Item PARTYSONGBOOK 1-4; FREI 1-13)

DESCRIPTION: This was an official booklet handed out to members of the famed Overland (Mountain) Free Corps. These ex-soldiers of WWI were formed in April 1919, and these tough warriors saw bloody action in Munich against the Communist Red brigades and against the Poles in Upper Silesia. It was one of the units that captured Annaberg and they nobly battled in the Ruhr in April 1920. It has often been said that if the Freikorps did not form that the Communists would have surly prevailed and Germany and all of Europe would have sunk into the abominable morass of Soviet tyranny and the horrid reign of terror would have become reality. (Would that there be another Freikorps today? It is needed even more now than then!)

The Booklet

The little book measures 4 x 6 inches and comprises 32 pages. The cover is just great with an illustration of the armored hand of Götz von Berlichingen, the Knight of the Iron Hand, reaching out to touch the shield with the mountain flower (edelweiss). The shield has the German national colors—black, white, and red. Inside the booklet are such nationalistic songs as: “O Deutschland hoch in Ehren” (“O Germany, High in Honor”); “Die Wacht am Rhein” (“Watch on the Rhein”); “Wenn Alle Untreve Werden” (“When All Were not True”) and many more stirring songs of pride and freedom. It’s just a little book, but its theme and its history are indubitably significant. This was a relic of a struggle that saved Western culture and possibly the very existence of the Teutonic race.

Singkamerad: School Songbook for German Youth (Item PARTYSONGBOOK 1-5; NSD 21-9; YOUTH 10-10)

DESCRIPTION: This without a doubt is the finest German songbook we have ever encountered. It’s hardbound and measures 7 x 5 inches and has 164 pages of songs and great illustrations all on the supreme Nordic Nationalist theme printed in the war year of 1941 by the central printing offices of the NSDAP, Franz Herr Verlag Munich. It is crammed full of the most beautiful patriotic songs of the Third Reich and the ancient songs of bygone, glorious years. The first illustration symbolizes the theme of this glorious little book where you see warriors of the Germanic past and the Third Reich standing steadfast guarding the “Holy Oak,” symbol of German patriotism, honor, and loyalty. Here stands Landsknecht along with heroic soldiers against Napoleon, a Teutonic knight, a WWI front soldier, and an N.S. SA trooper all battle ready with heart and hand for the Fatherland! Several more such inspiring illustrations fill the pages of this marvelous book. The songs are such as the Deutschland Lied, Wenn Alle Untreue Werden, Ich Hatt Einen Kameraden, Die Fahne hoch, Wohlauf Kameraden, and many more. The condition is very good and this is definitely worth preserving. This is an excellent piece of N.S. history.

Little Songbook of the NSDAP (Item PARTYSONGBOOK 1-6)

Great Little Songbook Titled Sturm und Kampflieder für Front und Heimat (Storm and Battle Songs for the Front and Homeland) (Item PARTYSONGBOOK 1-7)

DESCRIPTION: Stirring songs comprise these 127 pages of what would have been highly favored by the SA, SS, HJ, and all NSDAP functionaries. The size of the book is 5 x 4 inches and the condition is very good with some very minor staining on the cover. In other words, “used but not abused.” The best of the Volkslieder are seen on these pages. The first page starts with the dynamic Deutschlandlied. Because this was published in 1941, during the time when the war against Churchill was fully transpiring, we find as well on the same page “Wir Fahren Gegen Engeland” (“We are Sailing Against England”) followed by the “Horst Wessel Lied” and the stirring “Unser Fahne Flattert uns Voran” “Our Flag Flutters Before Us.” After these favorites are dozens of inspiring patriotic entries, songs about Adolf Hitler, songs of the sea, songs about the panzers, et al. It amounts to a treasury of songs of the German nation in its turbulent, but heroic era. No finer a collection exists.

Smallest NSDAP Songbook (Item PARTYSONGBOOK 1-8)

DESCRIPTION: Here is a little charmer indeed. It was produced and distributed by the W.H.W. (Winter Help Work Organization). It is entitled LIEDER DER BEWEGUNG (Songs of the Movement). These booklets were given to any citizen who donated some small amount of pocket change to this charitable program and to the street collectors for this group. The booklets numbered in the millions, but try to find one today! This is the only one we at Germania International have seen in 40 years. Its tiny pages recount the words and musical scores of such NS favorites as Volk ans Gewehr!, Nur der Freiheit gehört unser Leben, Ein junges Volk steht auf, et al. This is Vol. 2. We don’t know what Vol. 1 looks like, but the cover of this one is quite dramatic with an SS banner, an NS banner, and the Reich’s war flag, along with the SA symbol and the SS runics along with a German Army eagle in the center. The little booklet measures 3x2 inches and is in extra-fine condition and it has the little string attached that would attach to the collar or other appendage on the clothing to show that the wearer donated on that donor’s day collection. So, in essence, this is the rarest of our Third Reich songbooks, but certainly not the most expensive.
