Veterans’ Magazine (Item BOOKS 1-17; WAF 14-23)

DESCRIPTION: Here are two sets of magazines issued by the organization known as “HIAG.” This was the mutual aid association of former Waffen-SS veterans and it was considered a lobby group and a revisionist veterans’ organization founded by former high-ranking Waffen-SS officers in West Germany. It was founded in 1951, and campaigned for the legal, economic, and historical rehabilitation of the fighting forces of the Waffen-SS. The monthly periodicals that were sent out by subscription were beautifully done and titled Der Freiwillige (The Volunteer) and its subtitle was “Für Einigkeit und Recht und Freiheit”–“Unity, Law, and Freedom” and strove to reshape the image brought about by the liberals and leftists in so-called popular culture. All in all, Der Freiwillige effectively depicts the courageous deeds of the finest and bravest soldiers to take the field of battle since the Spartans at Thermopylae, and the foe they faced were usually greatly outnumbering them just as the Spartan 300 faced. Those soldiers of Greece sought to save their nation from barbarian hordes as the Waffen-SS fought to save Europe from the hordes of Bolsheviks that imperiled the European continent, and most probably the world. Their motto was „Wenn alle untreu warden, so bleiben wir doch treu!“–“If all become unfaithful, we remain loyal.” No more a moving byword has ever been pledged.

The Magazine Groupings

We purchased a group of eight of these great issues and they are in a special HIAG collector folder. They are an excellent sampling of the issues that were printed in 2000. For 70 years, this chronicle with factually written accounts has gone the way of the blasphemed record of our struggle and our common confederacy against the dark forces of the left-wing evil and tyranny.

The issues are divided into two groups as pictured. The first group has issues from September, July, February, and June of 2000. The other has issues from August, November, April and December 2000. They are all in near-immaculate condition with great original wartime photography. They should be preserved and respected as historical representatives of the struggle of the bravest of the brave!

PRICE: $96.00 for all eight issues
