Refurbished Waffen-SS Helmet (Item HELM 4-1) SOLD |
DESCRIPTION: This is a Mod-42 single-decal helmet with camo cover. Of course, it’s one of our original helmet shells that have been refurbished. As we have said before, this is a real German helmet. It has been repainted, re-decaled, relined and has a new chinstrap and an accurate state-of-the-art camouflage cover. Examples like this go out fast and we just listed it so don’t let the grass grow under your feet if you want a great textbook example like this one. This one has the very fine pigskin liner and is in the German size 55. The camo cover is reversible from summer to fall coloration. The cover has been realistically stressed and is very, very authentic looking. The decal is perfect, as is the paint job. This is another masterpiece from our “helmet king.” They don’t come nicer or more real looking. Perhaps that is because they ARE real helmets with a professional face lift.

DESCRIPTION: Here is a great pea-green, Mod-35 helmet that has been excellently reworked it is 100 percent an authentic German helmet shell with new paint job, new liner, decals, and chinstrap. It’s amazingly real looking (just like an original). It can only be hoped that some unscrupulous dealer doesn’t sell it as authentic. It’s a fairly large size (about a 56). It has a nice pigskin liner and super decals. These were dress helmets for the Waffen-![]() PRICE: SOLD |

Refurbished M-16 Allgemeine- |
DESCRIPTION: This may be the BEST refurbished helmet we have ever offered. First of all, it is BIG–German size 66. This is so unusual to be so large a size. The original helmet shells are getting very scarce and especially the M-16 models. And in Large size no less!!! This is the rare one with the WW-I strap retainer lugs inside that have been retained. These were the first conversions that were issued only to the elite (LSSAH) Leibstandarte-![]() PRICE: SOLD |

Fine Refurbished Reproduction Fallschirmjäger (Paratrooper) Helmet with Wire and Camouflage (Item HELM 4-5) |
DESCRIPTION: This is the best by far reproduction paratrooper helmet we have ever seen. It is done up in repro camouflage with the chicken-wire appendage. Everything is as if original; all the liner straps are perfect. The liner is properly aged looking. The grommet strap holder on one side is replaced properly, though not painted, but this is very easily remedied. Other than that small thing the helmet is in fine condition. The camouflage is in the Crete colors with the camo wire placed over it and this makes for a very dramatic effect. The Fallschirmjäger were “the elite of the elite” but then you already know that! The Luftwaffe-eagle decal is exactly as the original. The liner and straps are extremely authentic and of the hugest quality and aged with all the proper configurations. This is a helmet to be proud of and costing a tiny fraction of what a genuine period one would cost refurbished by a master of the art who had done all of our other offered helmets.

Refurbished Model ET66 M40 Helmet (Allgemeine-SS) (Item HELM 4-6) |
DESCRIPTION: Here is a completely refurbished original German helmet that has had the beauty treatment and now looks like an ET66 M40-model SS helmet. Remember, these helmets are not reproductions. The helmet shells are original German production and issue. The only time we ever offer reproduction helmets is when our helmet master refurbisher does a Fallshirmjäger helmet like the one above and that is because para-shells would be impossible to find! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, these helmets are so real looking that certain shady dealers have purchased them from us and then, lo and behold, they show up at a military show, but now represented as authentic WW II Helmets. I really have no control over this, short of refusing to sell helmets to people whom I know for sure have engaged in such nefarious activity. The helmets are just that good! This one is particularly nice with new paint job, new decals, and chinstrap stamped with the Vogel Company mark in Cottbus 1939. The decals are appropriately stressed. A real beauty!

Refurbished M-17 Verfungstrupppe Austrian Helmet in Apple Green (Item HELM 4-7) |
DESCRIPTION: Here is the first of the Waffen-SS helmets. It is, of course, a reissue of the 1917 WWI Coat shuttle helmet used in Germany and Austria. These helmets were the first ones given to the Allgemeine-SS and later to the SS-Verfungstruppe. This one, of course, is a refurbished helmet and the model 17s are the most difficult shells to find and to enable our expert to refurbish. Helmet size is 66 with liner size 58. This particular one was truly a labor of love. It is repainted in the absolute exact color that would be appropriate for this period; the decals are superior and appropriately stressed; the liner is perfect and it has a company-marked chinstrap. Inside the back part of the shell are the words “![]() PRICE: SOLD |

Completely Refurbished Waffen-SS M-42 Helmet (Item HELM 4-8) |
DESCRIPTION: Here is one that looks so unbelievably authentic to the period as to be frightening. What I mean by"frightening" is that it is so great looking in color throughout that one of the numerous scam artists out there could easily sell it for ‘real’ and I am sure it would never come back to him. The helmet is in the American size 66 with size 58 liner. The name of the manufacturer is on the chinstrap and it has one of the greatest decals currently available. This helmet shell is 100-percent original WWII and not one of the silly reproductions that abound out there. You will be proud to wear this one as a reenactor or just let it sit proudly on a shelf in your collection room and you will be happy that you didn’t have to pay $1,800 or so for it.

Refurbished SS Helmet Mod 1917 (Item HELM 4-9) |
DESCRIPTION: These are WWI helmets that were refurbished prior to WWII and issued to the Verfügungstruppe (Combat Support Force SS-(VT). It was an armed combat unit of the SS and trained in the same way as the normal German Army (Das Heers). Formed in 1936, it actually was the precursor of the Waffen-SS. Use your favorite search engine with “Verfugungstruppe” for a history of this elite fighting force; it was involved in the invasion of Poland in 1939. The helmet is, of course, original as to the shell, but has been refurbished with new decals of the best type, new and perfect chinstrap, and liner all to proper specs. The excellent, new paint job makes it look very authentic, indeed. To further embellish it the helmet's rear lip has the name of an ![]() PRICE: $1,250.00 |
Nicely Refurbished Single-Decal Waffen-SS Helmet (M40) (Item HELM 4-10) |
DESCRIPTION: This is an original 66 shell with the medium texture Quist Schiefergrau finish. The liner system is perfect for this model helmet. The great-looking single decal applied is also perfect. The replaced chinstrap is of the type found in original helmets and as with all our other refurbished helmets one would be hard pressed to see the difference between this helmet and an original period helmet, but then please do realize that this is in fact an absolutely original helmet shell but refurbished! The size is about a 59 (liner). You really won’t find a better one out there in cyber land!
PRICE: $850.00 |
Refurbished Double-Decal Waffen-SS Helmet (M40) (Item HELM 4-11) |
DESCRIPTION: Here is a beauty; an M40 original helmet shell completely and professionally refurbished with new liner, chinstrap, decals, and with a perfect Quist Schiefergrau finish with smooth texture. Quist helmets were the epitome of German helmets in WWII and this appears to be a Quist shell. The decals are perfect and the liner is in a size 59, so the helmet will fit most large American heads. The Quist firm was just outside of Stuttgart in the city of Esslingen (on the Neckar River). This fabrication firm manufactured the finest of German helmets before and during WWII. I don’t think one could locate a better-looking W-SS helmet unless miraculously a completely original, unrefurbished were to be found at the expense of some $3,500.00 to $5,000.00 for sure. Our price for this piece that almost certainly approximates this look of that expensive one. You will be really proud to have this great helmet in your collection.

Refurbished M35 SS Double-Decal Helmet with Camo Cover (Item HELM 4-12) |
DESCRIPTION: Here is what is considered one of our finest refurbished helmets that employed an original M35 helmet shell. Then the artiest painted it black, added the best decals made, and added a great and accurate liner and a beautifully marked chinstrap with SS markings. The camouflage cover is in the Waffen-SS palm forest pattern and has the correct style rocker hooks for clipping it on to the helmet. Because of health reasons, the artist will not be able to produce any more of these military masterpieces and we were going to hold on to this one in our shop collection, but we decided to let it go to a good collection. I think It wants to be in YOURS!

Refurbished German (Heer) Combat Helmet (Item HELM 4-13) |
DESCRIPTION: At last, here is another beautiful refurbished helmet. It's the model M40 ET 66 Heer helmet shell in dark-green finish. We haven’t had any for a while because we haven’t had any opportunity to purchase the original WWII helmet shells (they have dried up) and it's practically impossible to find any and we will never use reproduction shells (We use only original WWII shells). This Heer helmet is especially nice inside and out with great leather liner, authentic superior decal, and smooth and proper repaint—they just don’t come any nicer. It's a small size, but will make for a great collector's shelf piece and always bear in mind that this is basically a genuine WWII German helmet with a great beautification job. Grab it as they are very limited to say the least!
PRICE: $650.00 |
Waffen-SS Combat Helmet (Size Large!) (Item HELM 4-14) |
DESCRIPTION: Here is a long-awaited M40 68, single-decal shell in proper dark-green coloration. Of course, this is an authentic WWII helmet shell that has been completely refurbished to all correct specifications and closely resembles the authentic originals that cost multithousands of dollars. The liner is aged looking; the special decal is right on as compared to the originals; the chinstrap is perfect. One would have to be a first-class specialist in helmets to ever hope to distinguish this helmet from an original-finish one, even if they were side by side. This helmet is repainted with the rough texture as so many of the originals were produced. It's an incredibly large size and that is very unusual! It really looks good! You will be more than pleased! This might be our last; we just can’t get the shells like we were once able to do.
PRICE: $1,200.00 |
Great Model 34 Helmet; Most Likely SS-Einsatzgruppen or SD (Item HELM 4-15) |
DESCRIPTION: This is not one of the usual refurbished helmets that we offer. Those are original helmet shells that were repainted with new liners, chinstraps, and decals; perfection personified! NOW! This rare helmet in police style is just absolutely incredible with its original finish (as issued, not-repainted). Its especially light weight as it should be for non-direct-combat personnel whose duties included partisan hunting and control. Why do we put it with the reconstructed helmets? It's because the consigner had unfortunately put reproduction helmet decals on it. They are the finest grade decals, but are still copies. Other than that, you are looking at an extremely rare, special branch, Waffen-SS helmet. It also has the original and correct chinstrap designed exclusively for these lighter helmets. Unfortunately, as well, the liner is shredded, but to find such a truly rare Mod 34 with all of its other merits is a great find for the serious collector.
PRICE: $1,500.00; RARE Exceedingly rare! |
