Book The Great German Field Campaign Against Poland (Item WEHR 11-4)

DESCRIPTION: This is a large-format book, 12 ½ x 9 ½ inches and 1 inch thick comprised of 347 pages loaded with pictures of Nazi Germany's first campaign in the east. This is beyond description for photographic clarity and dynamic historical content. It was published in Berlin on December 20, 1940 as a chronicle of the war in words and pictures. The photography is by Heinrich Hoffmann, Hitler's official photographer. The foreword is by General Field Marshal von Reichenau. This, without doubt, is one of the best historical accounts of the war's beginnings that ensued after countless German civilians living in Polish territory were unmercilessly massacred until the Reichskreisg-flagge flew from the town hall in Warsaw. Very rare and desirable. Act fast!

Book Europas Schicksalskampf, Volk und Reich 1941, Issue 7, Europe's Fateful Struggle, People and Reich (Item WEHR 11-7)

DESCRIPTION: This was the favorite cultural, historic, photographic monthly book (magazine style) that Germans anxiously awaited. It contained news of the Wehrmacht advances, but also explored the historical events leading up to 1941, that fateful year for the western world and the Germanic people's struggle. This is a continuation of six previous issues that addressed the great design of the NSDAP and Wehrmacht. It brings up pages 433 to 503 of the text with about 48 brilliant pictures from old and contemporary history, Bolsheviks, Spanish Civil War, up to the German Army's advance in the east and the west. It measures 8 x 10 inches and is in fine shape for a 68-year-old soft-cover edition.

Book Gegen Richelieu, Against Richelieu, Volk und Reich 1940, People and Reich (Item WEHR 11-8)

DESCRIPTION: The title denotes the assault against Cardinal Richelieu. The so-called infamous church man serves as a nom d’ plume, name for France. This is an account of the war in France conducted by the Third German Reich and its mighty Wehrmacht. Cardinal Richelieu has been considered the dark countenance behind Louis XIII, whose chief minister he was. He was a Machiavellian master of propaganda and a character whose guise as a man of God disguised his ambitious machinations of “power grab.” The editors of the book have compared the insidious workings of modern post-WWI France’s ministers and general government to the dastardly deeds of the cardinal, himself. The book is a continuation of five volumes that evidently preceded it. Its pages are numbered 353 to 435 and it has 40 brilliant pictures depicting the shame and humiliation of France’s occupation of post-war Germany and then the glorious victory of the Führer’s troops as they completely crush the French forces and grind them into the ground. There are also several maps of the battles. It measures 8 x 10 inches and is in remarkably good shape. Historically, very important and rare.
