We Gather Together

In the Third Reich, many ceremonial events were accompied by religious theme music. A favorite used in the celebrations of the SA (Sturm Abteilung) and the SS at their observance of the November 9th Putsch  and swearing in of young recruits was the joyful yet somber hymn “We Gather Together” The Niederladischr dankgebet! Written originally in 1597, it was translated from German to English by Theodore Baker in 1894.

Nazi Party Patriot's Ring (Item NSD 1-1)

DESCRIPTION: This is one of the most typical rings of the NSDAP or Nazi Party. It is a silver ring with the traditional 855 silver stamp inside. It has the ring shank that has come to be known as the step-side pattern. See our Allgemeine SS ring of the Leibstandarte for comparison. This is the typical art-deco mode of the thirties. The center bears a fine enamel swastika surrounded by a wreath that symbolized the gifts of the earth that give their bounty because of the eternal suns ever-turning Hakenkreuz, swastika. This symbol was the sun symbol to the ancient Teutons and other primitive cultures as well as civilizations that were extremely advanced such as the Greeks and Romans. A very stylish and historically important ring.

PRICE: $495.00

NSDAP (Nazi Party) Ring (Item NSD 1-2)

DESCRIPTION: This is an early Nazi Party ring with the squared-off swastika as used on early pre-1933 banners, emblems, armbands, etc. It is definitely a rare ring and was found along with other jewelry at the end of the hostilities bin Berlin by an enterprising gentleman who worked for several jewelry firms; Wilm, Wagner, Sy and Wagner, Godet, etc. (see our description of the various Victory Rings). This ring is very classic using the step-side, art-deco design that was later modified. It is in fine condition and is a great collector's find. The enamel in the swastika is crude, but original.

1923 Putsch Medallion (Item NSD 1-3a)

DESCRIPTION: This is an extremely rare medallion that was distributed to those who were involved in the beer-hall Putsch of November 9, 1923, when Hitler led his followers from the Burgerbraukeller to the Feldherrenhalle, where they were met by police and Reichwehr troops who opened fire upon them killing 16 of the faithful. This is a medal that commemorated the staging of the Commemorative March in 1933, 10 years after the sacred event. The obverse of the medal has a depiction of the Ewege Flame, (the eternal flame) with the words from the funeral march of the German military around it: “Bleib du im Ew’gen Leben mein Guter Kamerad,” which means “Live you in eternal life my good comrade!” On the reverse is shown the German eagle with the swastika halo superimposed over the Feldherrenhalle with the dates 1932-1933, and below this the figure of a helmeted German soldier, who reposes with the Blutfahne (blood flag) furled beneath his lifeless body. This is rare and very historically important to NSDAP lore.

PRICE:$550.00 Extremely rare!

NS Hunting Permit (Item NSD 1-4)

DESCRIPTION: This is a real rarity. It is a Gebührenfreier Jahresjagdschein. This roughly translates to the fact that this permit is given for a year to this man without payment or fee and underneath it says it is good for the entire country or Reich. This was given to Christoph Erhart, who was a forest warden in the area of Onstmettingen. This pass was good from May 2, 1944 to March 31, 1945. This man was born in 1880 and the nonpayment could have been because of his age or because he was serving the forest organization in an official capacity. Interestingly enough his picture on the card depicts him in the uniform of the Reich's Forestry Service with its jaunty Jaeger hat. The card measures 4 ¼ X 6 inches. It's is in beautiful condition and sound. These are very seldom seen, especially in this condition.
