Book Volk ans Gewehr!, People to Arms! (Item NSD 6-2) |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||
DESCRIPTION: Here is an excellent book published in Wiesbaden by the culture office of the Gau Gross Berlin of the NSDAP with a foreword by the WWII air ace Bruno Loerzer. Its subtitle is The Book of the New Germany. This is a 400-page book measuring 9 ½ x 12 ¼ inches by 1 ½ inches thick. It is literally loaded with pictures from the early days of the Nazi Party; many of the early SA and SS. The first few pages trace the world war and Germany's tragic participation and 75 percent of it covers the fledgling NSDAP up to just before the 1933 victory. The pictures are for the most part unpublished elsewhere. It's in beautiful condition except for some very slight repaired damage on pages 17, 18, and 19, where something sticky must have touched the pages. Not bad at all! This is one of the finest Third Reich books we have yet acquired. It was the war cry of old Marshal Blucher at the battle of nations at Leipzig when Volk ans Gewehr!, People to Arms!, was sounded.
PRICE: $485.00; this is best yet |

Nazi Political Leader's Belt Buckle (Item NSD 6-3) |

It has the "RZM M 4/46" markings on the back. We do not, unfortunately, have the keeper for the other side with fastening slot. The buckle, however, is in mint condition and makes a great display item.

Book 1933 Das Jahr der Deutschen, “The Year of the Germans” (Item NSD 6-5) |
||||||||||||
DESCRIPTION: From the Fatherland Publishing House comes this spectacular account on text and pictures of the national revolution and the victory of Hitler and National Socialism. There is a foreword by Julius the Frankenführer in the ancient Germanic script that he favored. We remember that Streicher was hanged after the infamous trials at Nuremberg for the crime of writing anti-Semitic books. Here in this great volume is the pulse of Nazi Germany depicted in wonderful black-and-white photography that absolutely excels any other ever published. Parades, ceremonies, traditional regional costumes, leaders, sports, buildings, historic events, SS, SA, and other party formations abound in this huge volume. It measures almost 2 inches thick with a 9 x 11 ½-inch cover. Its 512 pages are mostly pictorial. The volume is in very good shape except for some small bit of the fabric distressed for a couple of inches at the bottom of the back cover (not at all distracting). There is also a small tear at the front beside the 1933 wreathed illustration. It is actually a hole in the fabric, but does not go through. All this aside, what we have here is a historical treasure that is both rare and vastly historically important.

Swastika Flag Center (Item NSD 6-7) |
|
DESCRIPTION: This is a genuine Hakenkreutz Flagge! swastika flag. It has been cut out of a full flag probably originally measuring 6 x 4 feet. Now we have a piece of the original measuring 29 x 23 inches. This could have either of two reasons for its being cut out: 1, often German vehicles were marked with swastika flags to alert German aircraft of the identity of such, as tanks. In this case it could have been for this purpose on a smaller vehicle, possible a Kubelwagen, thus a smaller area would have been covered; 2, possible this could have been cut out of a larger flag by a GI looter who decided he didn’t need to have such a large duffel-bag item to lug around as his souvenir. This was commonly done. Guaranteed authentic.
