The Ring of Honor of the Munich
Philharmonic Orchestra
(Item NSD 17-3)
DESCRIPTION: This is an ultimately important piece of exquisite jewelry presented by one of the world’s greatest orchestras probably to one of the greatest of its musicians or composers. It was in 1928 that the orchestra received its name. After the rise of the National Socialist Party in 1933, the orchestra stamped its scores with swastikas and the words ‘the Orchestra of the Fascist Movement.’ In 1938, the fervently pro-N.S. Oswald Kabasta took the helm of the orchestra raising its musical standards considerably even as World War Two began. It was Herr Kabasta who began the tradition of finger-ring presentation for worthy and exceptional performances. Sources in Germany tell us that the rings were presented only 12 times and of course this included Wilhelm Furtwängler, Herbert von Karajin, and of course Carl Orff, all favorite performers who were sympathetic to the National Socialist cause and whom in turn were adored by the German people of the culture-bearing strata, and the Munich Philharmonic was indeed the most beloved of all the orchestras in Germany. Of all the musical scores most played during the Third Reich at the Munich Philharmonic the Bruckner and Mahler pieces were the most performed. The Munich orchestra often provided moving accompaniment for the Memorial Marches held annually to honor the martyrs of the November 9, 1923, Putsch. In 1945, when German army forces were in nearly the last vestiges of the great anti-Bolshevik struggle for Europe, Munich Gauleiter Paul Giesler held a special concert in honor of the Reich’s soldiers. Even today, the Munich Philharmonic is the most famed orchestra group in Europe. The ring is made in several parts and is very wonderfully designed and astoundingly beautiful. The designers outdid themselves in creating a virtual masterpiece of jewelry. The top portion is quite large measuring 1 inch by 3/4 inch. It bears within, the design of musical notes that lie gracefully over palm leaves in high relief. In the right-bottom quarter there is a shield that contains the Munich city symbol. The National Socialist eagle is suspended in the air above the city gate known from early times as the Karlstor. In front of the gate stands the “Münchner Kindl’ or Munich child. The child is traditional and dates back to 1239 or so. This child is always depicted as a monk with open hood. Early impressions always show the little monk with outstretched fingers on one hand and a book in the other. On the one side of the ring is the word ‘Münchener’ and this continues on the other side with ‘Philharmoniker.’ The shank is quite thick in keeping with the largeness of the ring. Inside the kindle is seen again although barely visible through age and wear also on the inside shrank is a company logo deeply sunk into the silver with a M.W. with a cross in its center. There is a silver proof mark of 925 as well. In the back there is a large, recessed frame deep in the reverse of the top plainchant. It spells out ‘Muritz’ who must have been the person to whom it was presented. We have no information on this personage; was he a musician or conductor? We will very much appreciate any help that can be extended on this. With the name is the date ‘1943’. The ring size is measured at 10.5 to 11. Incredibly, the original ring box is still with it. The box appears to be in a soft-to-the-touch leather or leatherette and has the Munich city crest on its top, similar to the design the ring. The ring form fits into the box that has a velvet bottom portion and a white, silk lining in its upper lid. This is indeed a valued treasure of the Reich and other than the Prof. Troost and Gerdy Troost ring set, this could be said to be possibly the greatest and most historically important piece of NS Jewelry ever found. We are indubitably proud to offer this renowned and revered ring to a special collection, wherever that may be. Can it be yours? This is a museum piece extraordinaire!

Book: Das Anslitz Der Deutschen Frau (Item NSD 17-4)
DESCRIPTION: We often marvel at the ludicrous comments by dubious historians. Yes, we are quite deserving of the title of Germanophiles. Yes, German blood runs in our veins. Yes, we are discriminating! In his famous book, the infamous leftist correspondent and “yellow rag” author, William L. Shirer, says in “Berlin Diary” that he was struck by the ugliness of the German women in the streets. Ugly, he actually said UGLY! He also said at another point that he was struck again but the ugliness of the German army helmet. Shirer said that German women “had no ankles” -- that of course was blatant bigotry. Screams of racism would be heard world wide if Michelle Obama was said to have thick native African lips. But to insult German women who lived in the period of the Third Reich is more than acceptable, it is almost expected in this politically correct world. Defamation can only be used against Muslims and Germans, that is “Populist” Germans! Anyway, this book whose title translates to the “Countenance of the German Woman” in my estimation is the epitome of the National Socialist agenda in pictures. The adoration and respect accorded to the women of the Reich surpasses all other nations now and back then. German women were never drafted to do labor in the factories during the war as British and Soviet women were. Frau Emmy Goring, Frau Magda Goebbels, Leni Riefenstahl, Gertrud Scholtz Klink and Frau Inge Ley, wife of Labor Leader Robert Ley, Winifred Wagner, and Frau Gerdy Troost personified the spirit and dedication of the German female. Beautiful yet dignified and dedicated to the cause they perceived as right for Germany and right for Europe. History, when it emerges from all the hateful propaganda promotion will record the sacrifices and hardship that the Deutscher Frau underwent and if this book helps to portray what German womanhood was back then, it should be considered an extremely important archival treasure. The Forward to the book was written by Frau Emmy Goring. Germanophiles will be deeply moved by this presentation. Germanophobes of the William Shirer variety will be deeply offended by it and my personal perceptions as a woman as well, but in the words of Martin Luther, when he spoke before the Worms Council and Chancellors, “Here I stand, I can do no otherwise.” The book has over 85 crisp black and white pictures in various dimension. Most are full page. It measures 8 ½ x 10 and is in good shape with a binding that is a little loose. Linen cover. We consider it to be one of the finest books we have ever offered.

It first appeared weekly, then daily from February 8, 1923. It formed the official face of the Nazi Party. By 1944 the circulation was 1.7 million copies. In this condition, they are very rare today.

DESCRIPTION: This is a real rarity and a treasure of a N.S. cultural item. To the National Socialists of the Third Reich nothing meant more than family and children. In essence, this was what it was all about -- the pride that German folk had in nurturing health, and Aryan perfection was the number one factor in art, music, and general culture -- it was of tantamount importance. (Raising supermen? Why not? Is not the striving for perfection a human desire? Wasn’t it practiced by the ancient Egyptians, the Spartans, the African Masai, and the Sioux Indians of the Plains, the Jews?) The idea is only degraded in liberal circles when it comes to Germans. Why? Well, we won’t go there at this point in time. Suffice it to say that liberalism has brought us the late unlamented Michael Jackson -- that is unlamented by those who do not admire child molesters and freaks of nature. “Tiny Tim” ... remember him? Here was a fine product of the new World Order. Stop! Don’t get me going!

Now back to the cradle. This is not the complete cradle; it is only the important piece -- the foot of the child’s bed. This part was ordered to be made by a local village carpenter who was also a fairly good wood carver. The deep meaning is there for all to see. It was decorated with the theme of the National Socialist mythos and it was hoped that the symbolism might make a mystic and powerful totem that would transcend the usual mundane humanism and give glory to Nordic heritage and Aryan beginnings. This cradle board was produced in 1941. So the child, if still alive, would today be 68 years old.  Lets hope he made it through al the bombing of the German cities and the massacre of German men, women and children in 1945 when the “gentle” Russian Allies began their devil dance of murder and mayhem throughout Europa. The theme of the decoration is the sprout of the young oak tree growing and being nurtured to the future when it would be a giant sturdy oak. The oak tree was sacred to the ancient Teutons and to the NS culture as well as the symbol of strength and nature’s beauty. The Hackenkreutz (Swastika) behind it symbolizes the spirit of the N.S. mythos that is tightly tied to the oak in meaning and presence. The message is quite clear that these parents were loyal Party members and wished that their child would also be imbibed with the spirit of the Party and loyalty to his Germany in his/her life.  This is true NS culture. We speak from a historian’s viewpoint. This NS item is full of deeper meaning than any pair of Wehrmacht jackboots or an SA dagger. Unlike these rather usual and mundane objects or collectibles; this piece talks to us -- it is possibly the only remnant of the life of a Bewegungskinder “a child of the movement.”  The piece measures about 32" wide and about 35" high for the educated collector of important NS cultural items, this is an incredible find.

DESCRIPTION: Translated it means "And Yet You Conquered!" This of course is the saying that is found on the most sacred of the Third Reich orders (medals) -- The Order of the Blood (Blutorden). The book is with soft cover measuring 6" x 8 ½" and contains 33 pages and a decorated cover and back cover. It is dedicated to the martyrs of the N.S. Movement in what is known as the Kampfzeit (the time of Struggle). The words inside, especially the poem “Deutscher Fahn,” are very deeply inspiring. Other, such as “Ewiges Deutschland” (Eternal Germany) and Dem Unbekannten SA Mann (The Unknown SA Man) and the tune poem "Frisch Auf Kameraden" are awesome! The life story of  SA men murdered by the Communists are interspersed throughout the book with many pictures and poems about the Feldherrenhalle and Nov 9th and “Der Fuhrer Kommt” (The Leader Comes) are also inspiring. There is also a poem called Berchtesgaden und Sein Volkskanzler that speaks of the Berghof (Hitler's retreat in the Alps). The rest of the book praises the four year Plan and Germany’s prosperity under National Socialism. This is a book of ‘History’ written at the time of the events. It is in practically mint condition and is worthy of archival inclusion in any collection of pre-war German Patriotism and ferver. The cover pretty much says it all!
